Funniest part about all this restart stuff is just how hilariously bad the games would be.

We haven't played since start of March, teams can't train properly, they'd be rushed back into a restart so they wouldn't be given like a couple of weeks to train again. Sometimes during a season a player loses a family member and might miss a game as their head's not in it. LOADS of players head's won't be in it with foreign family members maybe struggling with all this. It'll be like an even worse level of quality than a pre-season game.

It’s a global pandemic, an act of nature.... nobody has grounds to sue anybody.

Force majeure is not common law in England and Scotland and thus has no legal bearing.

It would also need to be proven in a court of law that The Premier League did everything in their power to finish the season, which they havent.

Stop chatting about Force Majeure unless you have seen the contracts mert.

1. Like I even know the other 3 leagues exist.
2. Sky needs the Premier League, but The PL also needs to keep the company who pays the most, Sky know the PL is minted, Sky as a business doesnt make massive profits, it cant afford to be generous.
3. Sponsors are businesses, not charities.
4. Clubs have lost out on ticket sales, most clubs will also have to refund the fans for season tickets and such, maybe all into next year, it adds up, yes the players still get paid, but clubs dont have any income once they lose ticket sales, sponsorship and tv money
5. Clubs like Everton have wages to turnover at 85%, stupid clubs like that.

1. The answer is none.
2. Sky need the PL far more than the PL need Sky. You don't think the likes Amazon will be circling right now? Sky/BT are losing more every year they'll be desperate to do all they can to keep themselves relevant.
3. They are but you'd have to know how much revenue a club loses from a few months of no football. We've effectively lost 2 months of footie before the season would have ended anyway.
4. Again, you'd have to know how much of a players wage is paid by all that stuff. Doesn't account for those players that have took a pay cut and thus off-sets the loss of outside earnings.
5. We would not go into liquidation.

I’d love to see any club take the premier league or the FA to court if the league was declared null and void.

Pep lost his mum.
I'm sure he's not overly arsed about footy just now as you say.

And by Rachel Steven's, you of course mean Hannah Spearitt.
Fun Fact : Back in the mid/late ‘90s, my mate used to date Hannah and I used to date her best mate. Once we were all round Hannah’s and her and my mate had an argument, he stormed off in his Nova SR and his wheel spin off the drive caused loads of shingle to fly up and hit her lounge window. True story that lol

Why will sponsors stop sponsoring if we kick off a proper season in a few months time? Have sponsors deserted F1?

TV money. Thats a well trodden argument. Sky stump up or they will DEFFO go bust in 2 or 3 years time.

Gate money. lol

Manchester United make 110m a season in Matchday Revenue.

Have F1 null and voided their season? Thats a question btw, cos I dont follow tory go-karting.

Nobody knows what sponsors will do, but I cant see any business with any sense saying "no problem mate, just keep the 40m, we dont need it".

Sky cant afford to kiss goodbye to 700m.

2. Amazon arent paying 7billion each contract.
5. We would not, but others might.
One thing is for sure, it wont waste much court time.

I agree, it would take the time it takes the judge to say "I rule in favour of Leeds United".

I think the League already know the outcome which is why all the scenarios have been leaked to see that they are trying everything.

Once the Government pull this, then the League have their hands tied so any legal case will surely favour them when a global pandemic has shut them down.

Regarding TV deal, look at France, Canal Plus paid a percentage and the French Government gave the league a loan. Short term, if Sky try to screw the league, do the same then bugger them next deal.

The French have no chance with their court cases, its in the contract they signed and the French government are the 1s that basically ended the league.

I think they would win quite easily, but seems as tho none of us have seen the contracts or have legal degrees, we should probably leave this here.
The reason why it wont go to court...etc is things like that can drag on for years, and next season it only 6 or so months away.
So Leeds have a choice, play next season in which ever division or sit the season out while your getting dragged around courts.
