If this carries on into next year say January they may just finish this season next year and cancel next season.

Finish the season

Thats the bit I asked "How".

If you complete the PL, by extension, you have to complete every single league. To avoid all them law suits you mention if its just N&V.

The money is chicken feed, well, not quite, but in the PL, its a Siggy each. Thats even assuming Sky wont be utter bellends.

Ok.

Null and void
1.Legal fights in the courts with all the teams who would have got promoted, a minor drop in the money ocean, but a headache all the same
No TV money
No sponsorship money
Players all still on full pay
Liquidation

Finish the season
Everybody makes it rain money

Nobody cares about danger Tim, money, money, money.

The problem is that the null and voiders are being sensible, they are picking the right option, the 1 that doesnt put 000s of lives at risk and 1 that also protects the integrity of the Premier League, not that anybody REALLY cares about that.

So I do agree with the null and voiders, but they are massively underestimating the impact this will have on the 92 clubs in the football pyramid, it will be an utter wasteland. Which for me is why money, not sense will win this battle.

1. How many teams at present in the PL/EFL are guaranteed a promotion or relegation?
2. I'm sure TV will still be desperate to renew so leagues could strike a deal to receive money and just extend deals or they use it as a good excuse to flout ot Amazon.
3. Same as above with shirt deals etc.
4. Don't understand this. They're on full pay during leagues and during pre-season? League would have almost ended now anyway so clubs normally cover this without advertising/ticket sales etc.
5. Possibly but depends on the club or who is at danger.

Nobody cares about the other leagues, the money aspect isnt worth worrying about, they will get nulled, good luck to the EFL clubs suing the EFL, they dont have a pot to pee in.

Basically its not the Premier Leagues problem.

Nulling the Premier League will cost billions, nulling the other 3 leagues less than a Niasse.

I can honestly see them coming up with some sort of wacky regional football tournament next season myself.

If this app witchcraft works, the UK could be healthy enough to do semi normal stuff in August.

The post Covid 2020/21 season would be an ad mans wet dream. Imagine your company being associated with the rebirth of a league that was in ICU all summer?

Or play a few scruffy kick abouts on a park to get a few bob from Sky.

No brainer.

There is more money to be given to the lower leagues if we don't proceed with relegating teams under unfair terms in a farce of a season.

I'm not convinced how we restart and finish by mid July. I don't think it's possible.

I'm not even a null and voider. That would be fine obviously and most logical conclusion, but I really dont care. I just think the season should end and we move on to next year. However that happens isn't my main concern.

Can see that as they'll want to finish this season no matter what even if it goes into next year then they'll come up with some stupid tournament to finish off.

It will cos less than £1 billion. And thats assuming Sky dont chop their own head off.

1. Like I even know the other 3 leagues exist.
2. Sky needs the Premier League, but The PL also needs to keep the company who pays the most, Sky know the PL is minted, Sky as a business doesnt make massive profits, it cant afford to be generous.
3. Sponsors are businesses, not charities.
4. Clubs have lost out on ticket sales, most clubs will also have to refund the fans for season tickets and such, maybe all into next year, it adds up, yes the players still get paid, but clubs dont have any income once they lose ticket sales, sponsorship and tv money
5. Clubs like Everton have wages to turnover at 85%, stupid clubs like that.

It’s a global pandemic, an act of nature.... nobody has grounds to sue anybody.

1billion?

25% of 20 clubs sponsorship deals
25% of 20 clubs TV money
25% of 20 clubs matchday revenue
is 2 or 3 billion IMHO.

Why will sponsors stop sponsoring if we kick off a proper season in a few months time? Have sponsors deserted F1?

TV money. Thats a well trodden argument. Sky stump up or they will DEFFO go bust in 2 or 3 years time.

Gate money. lol
