Will be nothing more than an extended pre season for every club bar those fighting relegation. All integrity went out of the window weeks ago. Oh well at least it’ll go down as the dampest squib of title celebrations ever known. Will also be a good way for the RS to gather more hatred from other neutral fans when their cult do their thing when they do win it, shame it will be at the cost of another couple of hundred lives.

The suggestion that the league needed finishing to uphold sporting integrity always made me laugh. Genuine question, are the teams that qualified for the champions league last season going to be able to complete this years competition?

Sky certainly suggesting "Certain Games" might be subject to neutral venues based on policing etc; seems like they have given themselves an out there if needed. Would fully expect the derby to get moved, if they manage to get this over the line, which IMHO remains very very doubtful

The effort the league is going to with the apparent £4m testing, phased return to training and favourable briefings in the press, I’m pretty sure it’ll be finished. They’ve gone all in here. Plus a successful international comparison (Germany) adds to the need to finish.

Money matters.

The reason the league is finishing under these conditions is because they need to finish to get the TV money. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's the same reason why next season will start with the same restrictions in place. Clubs want/need the TV money. I don't really now how much they need it to survive but the fact that all 20 have agreed to returning suggests they all do to some extent.

Personally I find it wrong that this season is starting again. I find it wrong that next season will start under the current circumstances. I find it wrong that there's talk of 30, 40, 50M transfers at this current time. I know of lot of us want to utilise football as a distraction at the moment but I'd mothball it all until it's safe and ethically right to return. That means the end of this season, the transfer window and the next season. I know that this could hit us harder financially than some of the bigger clubs (particularly if FFP is used to hold us back). But so be it. This isn't about being morally outraged to stop the current season from returning. It's about the moral obligation not to start football or any football related activities until it's safe to do so....full stop.

If that means restarting the 2019/20 season in March 2021 then so be it. If it means null and voiding the season then so be it. If it means determining the season on ppg then so be it. It doesn't really matter in the context of what is going on with this global pandemic. Personally this isn't about stopping the RS winning the league. It's about football collectively doing the right thing.

But money matters.

Farcical situation with the grounds, basically to keep our home advantage for the Derby, we need City to win on the Weds before otherwise it’s going neutral.
Thing is even if it dosent go neutral they will be heading to Goodison with paint like they did Ruperts tower

Don't shoot the messenger but I heard a rumour yesterday that the Derby will be on the Friday night at Wembley @ 9pm ko !!

Looks likely that PL and Championship will resume, but less likely L1 and L2: do you think bookies will void bets on L1 and L2, or take the standings as they are, if and when they are curtailed?

Play Gordon, Gbamin, Holgate etc every game.

If there's anyone else who is promising then give them game time too.

We have nothing to gain or lose in this period so we may as well use it to plan forward. No point playing anyone who won't be part of plans for next season.

But it's very hard to have much interest in our games. I just want the season to be over.
