This is exactly why top level professional football is a busted flush nowadays.
It's just pure greed. It never stops and it never will. The PL and the American
owners who run it effectively want to turn it into an NFL style of operation.
Any enjoyment has been and is being sucked out of the game by this non stop
grab for money. Just where will it end?

A disgusting piece of attempted opportunism by the American franchise holders here.

If anyone can’t see their real aim here, then they need to give their heads a wobble. This is all about a power grab that has at its core the share of the TV cash that they have wanted to have a much larger slice of for years.

Truly grotesque that they’re using this crisis to try and ram home their selfish agenda.

You'd have to be pretty stupid not to see this for exactly what it is - a power grab by the likes of Liverpool and United. Reduce the number of obstacles (votes) in their way so they can increase their revenues by taking away from everyone else. They'd use the changes to finally push for them receiving a larger piece of Premier League pie thus making the league even less competitive, keeping themselves at the top.

It's actually disgusting they're trying to convince people it's "saving the EFL", actually attempting to hold the football leagues to ransom.

The media being in the pockets of those clubs, 1 filthy club in particular will spin this so much that its all about saving small clubs it'll make your head spin.

By the way i wonder how the economic professors on rawk are spinning this as they're experts on every other clubs finances and such.

Horrible greedy and selfish but the current financial plight of the lower leagues may make for them to want this to happen.
Also the fact that there is two less teams in the P/L it leaves the door open just that little bit more for the end game of a European Super league.
If this goes through within about 15 years, football could be dead to many of us.

Must admit though, I don’t mind binning off the already dead in the water League Cup.

No thanks, every team in the Prem should get equal say

It says Premier League continuous stay? Southampton, West Ham & City haven't always been in the Prem

how can you complain bitter bertie your club in the last 10 years has funded the biggest financial doping in the history of english football your club has shares in 10 other clubs worldwide , your crying and arguments are hypocrisy and pathetic

Utter rats, trying to pull the drawbridge up behind them now they've finally won the league. I bet that "25% of future TV deals" is a con as well, given that they'll now have the votes to pass individual club TV deals and make the overall deal far less lucrative.

I also firmly hope that Rick Parry loses his job over this as well, given that he is about to completely screw the organization he is paid a fortune to lead.

The only major change that I see coming anytime soon is the introduction of a PL streaming service where for a small monthly fee you can watch any PL game.. I'd say that a hundred million subscribers world wide paying a tenner a month would be easy achievable, with that there'd be a billion a month coming in, so even if it was for the 10 months the league is on that's 10 billion a year as opposed to the 9 billion every 3 years.

That is what should happen, but it isn't going to. The RS and United want to have the bulk of that money and will "reform" any PPV deal to make sure they get it.
