Would they? I highly doubt that mate. They'd be great replacements in my view.

I mean they sort of sum up how disposable the "top 6" are. And by "top 6" it looks increasingly top 2. If United and Liverpool went and played in the championship as Parry proposed, and Celtic/Rangers came, can you imagine the excitement and marketing potential of those 2. Enormous. They'd soon be forgotten.
Celtic and Rangers are just as big in the states as the scum and manure

All fair points Catch but IMO the bottom line is, the only reason those two would want to come down here is to generate riches they can't ever get up there.
They would quickly enough then be the two new power houses in our league, they would eventually see the vaster riches of the European league and then leave as soon as they possibly could.
I also don't like the bigotry I've witnessed up there and don't want it infecting our game.

what an utterly deceitful thunderc*nt; if it was mainly about dripping money down to the base of the football pyramid, all top flight teams could skim off 5-10% off their annual income for 5 years, that would benefit those below massively, have a proportionate affect to all in the top flight, and maintain that every team has a chance to 'do a Leicester'. Those that thought of this are despicable.

I can see the argument about the bigotry stuff. It's more of a general point though, that there are plenty more teams ready to step up if teams want to leave.

I'll be frank, I'd be surprised if Levy wanted to follow some of the others over the cliff edge. Maybe he would. The smart money woukd be though, Spurs being a leading team in a league containing the Old Firm, Leeds, Everton, Newcastle, Villa maybe Forest etc would very quickly become marketable, and there's a spot for the new "super club" to emerge.

IMO if the top 5 clubs of Man U, Liverpool, Chalsea, Arsenal and Man City were to leave, the standard of football would drop dramatically, our league would crumble cos income would be slashed in half.
It's all irrelevant anyway cos it isn't gonna happen.

It's an absolutely appalling prospect led by a self-confessed Liverpool fan with a biased objective. I sincerely hope that utter cant Rick Parry is removed from his job by the end of the week. Utterly, utterly despicable to even think of such a plan. I hope Everton come out fully against this ASAP.

Another thing, 2 less games at home per season, why would Everton agree to that, were building a ground for match day revenue. Same with Spurs who in a normal world make big money from home games, 2 less games will hurt them.
Also the league cup, that's a potential money spinner too, especially for lower teams.

Reading from the journo who broke the story, Sam Wallace, that ahead of the shareholders vote of premier league clubs on Wednesday at least 13 are against it, each of the 20 clubs holding one share each and at least 14 needed to pass it.

All 72 EFL clubs unsurprisingly support it but with Liverpool and Man United apparently unwilling to walk away from the premier league it looks finished.

Of the seven clubs who aren't (as yet) thought to be opposed, 'the big six' and ourselves.

.... a quote from the article says

'(what) is not yet clear is how prepared the other four members of the so-called big six - Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City - would be to back the plan. There are also questions over Everton’s intentions - the club has ambitions of reaching the Champions League and would qualify for “special voting rights” under PBP owing to its longevity in the top flight'
