4 places in the table versus being within a sniff or two of actually winning something.

That will be his argument. There is logic in it.

Yep true but I would counter saying being Within a sniff is not winning it and nobody remembers semi finalists, you get the same as going out in the 1st round which is nada.

League positions and points tally are a true measure of progress

Progress. But it still hurts when we are so so bad like today. And there's been plenty of that this season, as well as the good - like our home record. But I know (or hope) that the right people at the club know what needs to be done now.

lollol
A sniff???

LOL

The first time we met a serious competitor in either we were bombed out. God bles Roberto for finding us a route past Dagenham and Redbridge and Carlisle.

As per usual over exaggeration. We beat Chelsea in the FA Cup along with an away win at Bournemouth. Advancing past two PL sides in the League Cup. We also did beat City in the first leg of the semi.

Definitely within a sniff if you compare most of our efforts...especially in the League Cup.

Burnley, Bournemouth, Watford, Southampton, Swansea, Stoke, Boro, West Ham plus the top five away = 5 points from 13 games. To think 11 more points would be champions league this season so quite frustrating in a way, but happy we have been more competitive and much improved at home. Las season was ridicullous at home looking back.

There's been quite a bit of progress this season, although I think there was an opportunity for even more progress that hasn't been taken.

if we could just stop losing to bottom of the table teams away from home...today reaffirmed changes need to take place

And V City all we had to do was not conceded 3 in the final hour of a 3-hour tie. Oh look....
