Progress? I still don't see much difference. Still playing with two DM's against the likes of Swansea at home. I don't see how we have "progressed" in that department since Martinez. Same formation, same old same old

Just for the purposes of being fair. Martinez had this squad 13th Koeman has it 7th the bulk of his critics were equally as critical of the Summer window. I'm sure there is an analogy in there somewhere but it does seem odd to criticise the manager when you were previously criticising the 'tools' he was afforded.

Let's put it this way after 12 games under Martinez the consensus about him as a manager would've of been somewhat different to the actual reality. Koeman is being roundly criticised and we are 7th and if West Ham win we'll be a point off 5th a 1/3 of the way into the season.

The question should be, What were you expecting??
12 games into last season we had 19 points...exactly what we have now....and better goal difference.

Progress is not being beat at home in the league so far. For that I am pleased. Our position is true to how we have performed this season. We lack pace and a bit of creativity in the last 3rd so this is where we need to recruit. Also if Koeman is not rating Mori above jags then we need another centre back.

You would expect some sort of difference in the style and set up
There is. Like I say we are 7th when Martinez was sacked we were 13th. We lack zest going forward but there are some passengers. Lukaku won't press on the regular, Barkley should be sold before he enters his final year, Deulofeu will never make it in this league, Mirallas has fell off the edge of a cliff.

Having said that we should've been 2-0 up before they scored today. Not sure how Lukaku missed from Bolasie cross (only seen it live) and Barkley seemed to have done the hard bit from another Bolasie cross when he controlled well turned his man then hit it wide.

No change in formation, Same old 4231 with two DM's

Football looks poor with very little pressing or movement

I agree, the pressing is embarrassing, we have no leader and we lack zest. This squad on paper should be playing better, but it was never ever ever going to finish higher than 7th unless like in 12/13 two teams have stinkers like Spurs and UTD did who both sacked their managers during that season.
