Not down to the fans mate that a load of millionaires can't be arsed turning up to play footy. They are out there to entertain us, not for us to get them going.

Disagree mate. You take a seat in LG the least you should do is watch the match.
50 year old fella next to me was like a 15 year old girl at a concert, watching the whole thing through a phone.
Not acceptable imo. I asked "you expecting a baby?" half way through the 2nd half.
If we all get involved we won't half to endure the festive depression we did last 2 years I think.
Make some noise.

Nah watching through a phone is just weird and a waste of a seat.. I was sat in the Top Balc today and atmosphere wasn't great but was decent for the second half of the 2nd half. As long as they continue to put in performances I'm afraid the crowd just won't bother. My main issue is half of them just jog around and have no passion... which weirdly I think effects the crowd and they become almost lethargic too.

I was a fan of the way we were playing under Martinez up until Christmasish time last year, thought we attacked well but looked too sloppy defensively. The football isn't great is it mate but still early days, aye?

Indeed it is early days and certainly the guy needs mire time in the job before a definitive judgement can be made.

But that does not mean we cannot have an opinion on what we have seen thus far, with almost a third of the season gone.

And as you say, it is anything but great......and a long way from the way we were playing at this time last year.

Sadly it's a repeat of last season where you can say we are x points of x place but at the same time dropping points all over the shop down to us being poor.

So we may be one point off 5th and be in a position where we expected to be, but it doesn't take away we could and should be better placed by now
Can, should and would. As much as I would love it to be football isn't like that. We are where we deserve to be, through our own merit or other teams ineptitude.

You mean endless purposeless passing and conceding goals for fun, yeah I was happy as hell this time last year.
Not that I'm euphoric now like, but at least I'm hopeful it'll improve.

My main concern is that we've picked up 2 points from games against swansea, burnley, palace and bournemouth. And that is not acceptable at all. The players are just weak, and nowhere near as good as they think they are.

the ground cladding has changed, the players and their fitness hasnt. same manager but different accent to me. he clearly cant get the fitness and winning mentality right. shocking

And if we are 13th after game 37 Koeman should be sacked, in fact if we don't finish top 8 Koeman should be sacked. Simple as that. I support Everton not its managers.

I assume I'm one of the moaners you mention, and as much as I criticise the players and manager, I don't want a sacking this season unless there's an utter disaster, like 12th or lower. I'll criticise him when I think he's negative like today with the 2 holding mids, and I'll criticise him for getting 2 points from 12 against burnley, bournemouth, palace and swansea. Every game is important and I don't want this season to be another write off because I'm impatient enough as it is. But for me, he's got to about this time next year to show marked improvement and I'll judge him then. If we're still playing this negative hoofing and not getting results in 12 months time my knives will be out, but even though I'll moan and criticise probably on a weekly basis, I certainly still back him and he will get judged on next season.
