Just for the purposes of being fair. Martinez had this squad 13th Koeman has it 7th the bulk of his critics were equally as critical of the Summer window. I'm sure there is an analogy in there somewhere but it does seem odd to criticise the manager when you were previously criticising the 'tools' he was afforded.

Let's put it this way after 12 games under Martinez the consensus about him as a manager would've of been somewhat different to the actual reality. Koeman is being roundly criticised and we are 7th and if West Ham win we'll be a point off 5th a 1/3 of the way into the season.

The question should be, What were you expecting??

But it's still that great squad of players that Martinez cocked up, but now with some added quality in Williams and Gana that Koeman can't get anything out of? (I know it's still early days)

But they've all got worse in the last 3 years, Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu, McCarthy, Coleman, Baines, they've all become worse players under his management. Jagielka too, but he's just finished.

Progress is that we now know for certain that it's not just the manager's fault and we can now identify a load of deadwood that needs shipping out.

Klopp did it give them away get them off the wage bill, someone made a suggestion to my older brother sack Koemans brother move big Dunc in charge of the under 21s fetch in Unsworth, and Sheedy as they know how football in midfield and defence should be played sounds good to me!
Kenwrong is still there - lance that boil and we can start rebuilding - don't think RK had a say in the contracts offered to Gibson or the purchase of Niasse etc

To play better football and not struggle against poor sides like Bournemouth/Swansea and Burnley

If we sacked his brother it's away if him walking without compensation, or he stays to be prompted by Sheedy and Unsy we can't get the basics right fgs!

I'll give you Coleman, McCarthy and Baines who went backwards, but the rest of them have always been inconsistent, Barkley first half of last season was boss but was allowed to get lazy, and his fitness dropped towards the end of the season, Deulofeu always done/does it in patches, but had a great spell that Lukaku profited from, Mirallas is just a tool, and can't argue about Jags being finished.
