His legal team are arguing that the US papers were not "served correctly". Like David Beckham getting off a speeding fine cos his papers were one day late.

I am all for legal processes being robust, but swinging around on technicalities kinda smells a bit.

The US military case has nothing whatsoever to do with Andrew. Justice should be served in both. I believe both alleged parties are guilty as hell and making their case worse by avoiding a day in court.

As far as I know both court systems are open, transparent and democratic. To evade either is repugnant.

No. Both cases should be kept completely separate instead of tit for tat rubbish when a woman has potentially been sexually assaulted. He needs to face the courts.

Andrew's reputation is in tatters. What's a sleazy bit of legal skullduggery going to do to harm it?

If the papers are deemed to not have been served and they pass the 120 day expiry from date of issue, is that it? Case falls through?

Giving a policeman in a foreign country some paperwork seems like a really dodgy way of serving court papers.

How would a summons be served in the UK from a UK Court? Would he be able to dodge those as he is trying to dodge the US court papers?
