They've just sent an email out about the precautions ahead of the Derby.

Everton Football Club takes supporter safety and its duty of care to anyone attending a fixture or event at Goodison Park very seriously. Therefore, we are closely monitoring the development of the current coronavirus, or Covid-19 outbreak.

Ahead of the Merseyside derby on Monday 16 March, we would like to remind all supporters of their own duty of care and to help prevent the spread of the virus.

England’s Chief Medical Officer raised the risk of the virus to the public from low to moderate. The Club is committed to stopping the spread of the virus and as a result we are taking positive steps to reduce any risk to anyone attending or working at the game. Club officials have already taken measures to educate staff on best practices to prevent the virus spreading, spotting symptoms and other general guidance.

If you are planning to attend the match and have travelled to or from any of the below countries or regions in the last month or if you are experiencing cold and flu symptoms; particularly a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, please carefully consider your plans to attend the match and the impact your attendance could have on others.
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Iran
  • Italy – only northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini)
  • Japan
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • Myanmar (Burma)
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Tenerife – only the H10 Costa Adeje Palace Hotel
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
If you have any concerns, think you have symptoms of the coronavirus or believe you may have been exposed to the virus when travelling, please seek medical advice from the NHS helpline on 111 (from the UK) or click here.

To help minimise the risk of the virus spreading please keep a heightened sense of personal hygiene at all times. The UK Government and NHS have issued the following guidance:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell
Fixtures in the Premier League are currently unaffected and the Club will continue to take guidance from the Premier League, UK Government, NHS and World Health Organisation.

Further updates will be provided should there be any changes to the current situation.

Ha the UK statistics are worse than most of the counties on there.......

And our testing is a 2 day turnaround. We're probably already at the 300 level at least.

Some GPs I know of are thinking this has been around in the UK since mid December and our confirmed cases are just the tip of the iceberg. We've seen well established cases confirmed in the last two days that have spent up to 6 weeks feeling unwell, and had no foreign travel either.

This is the main reason why it is not merely a flu.
They'll get a vaccine eventually and this dose will be seasonal and become something that we just live with, remember the panic over bird flu that now goes around every year but nothing much mentioned about it. It's a situation of the enemy you know vs the enemy you don't. 24 hour news and social media have blown this out of all proportion and caused needless panic.

No offence to you, but think im gonna listen to an expert in these things.

I read this
There are 68 million people in the country and 90 people have the virus.
Flu and cancer kill more per year

They are talking about all sport being off, Aintree being off, schools closing, work closing. Ok have we all gone mad. When it reaches a million (which it wont) come back to me.
Now, if you're just having a laugh, then fine, but if you're serious, this is genuinely one of the dumbest things I've read on here in a long time

In the main people are grand but there's an element of society that are just idiots happy to spread needless panic. There's fake news everywhere, only today here in Ireland there was a picture circulating giving information on schools that were to be closed due to the virus, it was a real picture but from 2010 and the list was a list of schools closed due to Snow. Imagine living near an area mentioned and you have bronchitis or some issue with your lungs it becomes a major worry. The WHO are right and countries are doing what they can it's the idiots in the countries that are the real problem. https://www.thejournal.ie/clare-schools-closed-coronavirus-fake-image-5035643-Mar2020/

Vaccine won’t be ready in a while. At the moment there is no cure. It is not helpful to panic but equally naïve/irresponsible to treat this like a small sickness and not one country in the world is comparing this virus like a flu and it is no way close to a flu.

The country which downplays everything when it first started is the one who is suffering the most now. It will be foolish to follow their footsteps.

This is Everton though, we will beat Liverpool 5-0 a week on Monday with none of us in the ground. You just know it don't you
I'd take a 5-0 win behind closed doors mate

My point probably read incorrectly was I just don’t get all this drama being caused by the media over a virus.
