So there we have it after eight games
Was it the promised invigorating tonic for the Covid down trodden nation?
Or the contractual obligation non-event ?

Speaking personally and as an Everton supporter I think it was as expected - beyond awful, but Man Utd and Chelsea fans would likely disagree.
Until the fans are back in my opinion the game is dead in the water...

What do you think?

I suppose the positive is Ancelotti now knows exactly what he needs.

They can’t be trusted with their ability but more importantly their effort.

I didn't think having no fans would have this much effect on Football or my own enjoyment watching it, Soulless.
Scary thing is they're talking about October at the earliest for the return of fans in any way shape or form - general scientific consensus is looking more like next spring at the earliest for any kind of normality. 2020-21 is going to be another total non-event.

It's crap but it is what it is, all the other top leagues got finished so it was the best way to finish the games off once the Euros were moved. The amount of TV money that would have had to be given back would have crippled clubs if it wasn't finished.

I'm more concerned with next season being a write off in terms of fans.

We've only got a few seasons left at Goodison so to write off maybe 18 months of those is really disheartening.
