Why are so many deeming our season over? We've narrowly lost a few games away from home where we should have probably got something, these things happen.

We were going to face a hard patch under Martinez, its understandable what with it being the so called "transitional season". I would like the optimism back please!

We are 90 minutes away from wembley and only five points off fifth with a game in hand, this could still be a great season. Regain the positivity and lets get our season back on track with a win against West Ham. Come on you blue boys!

Before Christmas we sat in 4th and had a "fighting and very remote chance" of winning the league.

2 months down the line we are sitting in 7th looking over our shoulder at Newcastle and 11 points off 4th, 3 defeats in our last 4 league games.

5 points off 5th? WHO EVEN CARES, our League season is over.

Winning the FA Cup would indeed make it a great season, no matter where we finish in the League, but forgive me for not getting excited about a 5th place finish.

Happy happy joy, joy.

5th place would be excellent for Martinez's first season and it's still very possible. Plus 5th guarantees us European football which we haven't had for 4/5 years now.

Our league season definitely isn't over mate.

5th would be good, in terms of getting Europa, but honestly, I wouldnt consider it a great season, personally.

i'd advise any everton fan not to bother looking over their shoulder at newcastle

We'v come out badly from a tough period, very unluckily IMO with 3 defeats. Let's remember Liverpool who are suposibly "the team" currently, went away and lost a few in a short period to the big teams.

Our season won't be defined on those 3 games just gone. It will be defined by beating the teams we should beat the rest of the season, maybe picking up some points at home against the other big teams still to come here and beating arsenal in the cup.

Chins up lads it's really not going badly!!

The curse of February has struck again, another poor January transfer market.

But, just like last year everyone is saying " Wait till the summer, we will spend loads of cash then " reminds me of this song for some reason.

The January transfer window was were we failed and we are now paying the price.
The board continue to show no ambition and let us down but we let them.
Roberto is still learning and the best of him will be seen elsewhere when he realises he actually has no cash to spend and we are being run on lies

IMHO all of our remaining league games are winnable. We should be getting at least a point in all of them. If we can win 90% of them who knows.

The recent results and somewhat flat performances have left me a lttle deflated tbh but not totally down.
I still think we'll get back into a run of form. Needs to be sooner rather than later though (yes I've got a PHD in stating the bleeding obvious). Hopefully we can beast West Ham with some of that sexy Tiki Togger and go back to the Emirates on a high.

I had a dream last night we got beat 1-0 by Derby County. We were at home too. I was wondering what was happening with Everton and why we couldn't score a single goal. I think Derby was our next league fixture as well.
