Voted out as I always have as I don't wish to be accused of a knee-jerk decision.

For me to change my mind he has to prove he can adapt to different situations like today all the time.

Today was a start, but that's all it was.

Another goddamned poll, I refuse to participate, it is meaningless.

Vote "Cheese on Toast" mate. As well as the option for fence sitters and people who aren't sure, it's also there for people who thinks polls are meaningless.

I reckon if all the people who thought the polls were meaningless voted Cheese on Toast it'd be a winner by a short head. The internet is mostly for people with extreme views to shout a bit, the moderates take the Cheese on Toast line, but apathy is your enemy.

Err, I voted In like and, unless we're relegated, will continue to do for the rest of the season.
Come next season I might change my mind though.

Okay Wolly I will vote but are you sitting on the fence?

No mate, I'm normally a fence sitter, but I've voted In, and have done so every time so far.

I think he deserves a chance to show that last season wasn't a freak season, so I'd give him most, if not all, of next season to show some progress. Progress isn't just about league position though, it's about whether or not I think he's making changes which will be good for the long term future of the club.

Not that Martinez, Kenwright or Elstone care about what I think like, and my witterings on here will make bugger all difference to what happens. At the end of the day we're just Blues nattering about the club we love and different people have different views on what the best way forward is.

Dave fumin' at the mouth because his tika taka sh!t has been binned, the pace and intense football that the plotters have asked for all season as come through, finally after 28 games

Plotters WIN

It's official

so we were right all the time and the flat-earthers wrong :pint2:

He did and deserves credit for that. It's a shame it's taken him so long to change it though. The top four look weak imo and we've dropped a bollock this season. Win the Europa and all will be forgiven Bobby. It was always part of the plan.

'Changing it' is difficult when more than half the team are struggling with adapting anyway. It has been uncertain/out of their comfort zone players who have been responsible for the slow build up. Yes, Martinez believes that you can't play unless you have the ball, but there have been times in most games this season were he has been seen frantically shouting 'quicker, quicker!' to our defence and midfield. Its pace and ingenuity that beats a team who sit back...you have to get to the by line and feed strikers or pull back for oncoming midfielders. People should remember that Martinez has a long term project with regard to our style and everything else about our club, and it is early days. Expect the dips to be less next season as he gets his own long term players in , not stop gaps. Martinez is enthusiastic and it is obvious that he feels he can do something special at Everton.THere has ben no knee jerk by the players or coaching staff, the only knee jerk is from some supporters.

Like your continual slating of Ross Barkley, Steve?

Not sure why people are being called plotters and knee jerkers to be honest.

They have every right to express their concern at such a horrific run of results which has seen us on the lowest points total for the games played.

Martinez is lucky he has the boss he has, he would have been gubbed at other clubs.

We said turning point after the west ham cup game, let's hope this really is the case this time.

Barkley has been terrible all season. At first I gave him 'time' for all the usual reasons...young....back from injury, etc. but eventually I got to the opinion that he was not even trying to get out of his trough of 'bad form'. That was his biggest failing. Martinez has managed him very well ,despite the naysayers...he has left Barkley out when he didn't deserve a place, and made him wait for circumstances to provide him with another chance. The last couple of times Barkley has got a chance, he has obviously tried harder, but still does not look the player he was expected to be in this, his 'breakthrough season'. So hardly a knee jerk. He still doesn't look like the player we want/need him to be. So hardly a knee jerk.
