Points earned after the 80th minute this season

Great stat that.

Basically says that once United hit minute 80 and you're beating them, they're not gonna come back on you.

Love Everton's stat but then I'd rather it was lower and that we were locking in the points sooner than minute 80 but who's complaining?

Surely it counts as a point for them? The stat seems cockeyed, not moaning at you like, but call it all fair (SKY) or dont bother at all.

Just had a flashback to 2-1 against Spurs, boss day, that Vellios bicycle kick to Jelavic.

In terms of late goals under Moyes though I always picture us being 1-0 up at home against some gash team and them drawing 1-1, ffs.

Too right - that Norwich game in Nov 2012 is the reason I no longer keep glass objects in my room.....

I found with moyes if we were behind we did alright both manc games come to mind the 3-3 and the 4-4. But I dreaded if we had a narrow lead with a few minutes to go

Re the Derby : I interpret things as : if we had won 3-2 we gain 2 Fergie time points. But Liverpool then equalised so we get no points and they get 2.

Bit ambiguous...

As already pointed out, at 80 mins in that game it was 2-2, so both sides had a point each. Therefore at full-time and 3-3, no change in points gained.

I think Roberto has done tremendous at changing our mentality in the last 10 mins of games which those stats clearly prove.

Tbh I think even under moyes, we had our fair share of scoring late goals. What has impressed me with Roberto tho is the not sitting back last 5-10 to protect what we have. Once we get that deciding goal, we try to see the game out by keeping possession and still going forward. Love it tbh, and it makes the final stages of games a lot less stressful!!

***Shoddy stats alert... see below for a more accurate breakdown.***

I had a bit of time on my hands, so I've been through this and last season's results to find the last 10 minute action.

2012/2013:

Points won in last 10:
+1 (Wigan A)
+3 (Tottenham H)
+2 (Villa H)

Total: 6 points gained

Points lost in last 10:
-2 (Fulham A)
-2 (Norwich H)
-3 (Norwich A)
-2 (Spurs A)

Total: 9 points lost

Net: 3 points lost in the last 10 minutes.

2013/2014:

Points won in last 10:
+3 (West Ham A)
+3 (United A)
+2 (Swansea A)
+1 (Stoke A)
+2 (Villa H)

Total: 11 points gained (not including Arsenal as they scored in 80th and we scored in the 84th)

0 points lost in the last 10 (not including Goodison derby as it was 2-2 going into 80th minute).

Net: 11 points gained in the last ten minutes.

Proof that clinging on to what you've got doesn't work!

Cool stat. I wonder if it's not down to our possession game, and the fact it probably tires the opposition out a bit, thus making the latter stages of the game fertile territory for us?

Net +11! Nice work.

I think under the entirety of Moyes's tenure, we had more than our fair share of late shows. However, it just feels different under Bobby...like a positive thing, rather than trying to stop something negative, if that makes any sense
