Don't miss this nugget:

You're absolutely right to suggest that Manchester United have failed to recover a single Premier League point after the 80th minute this season and to answer your first question we asked Opta to look at each of the last 10 seasons and tell us how many points they earned in the last 10 minutes of games. The results were as follows:
2013/14 (so far): 0 POINTS
2012/13: 11 POINTS
2011/12: 8 POINTS
2010/11: 11 POINTS
2009/10: 5 POINTS
2008/09: 5 POINTS
2007/08: 6 POINTS
2006/07: 4 POINTS
2005/06: 4 POINTS
2004/05: 3 POINTS

...

Points earned after the 80th minute this season:
11 POINTS: Everton
5 POINTS: Chelsea
4 POINTS: Crystal Palace, Fulham, Southampton, Stoke, Tottenham, West Brom
3 POINTS: Cardiff, Sunderland
2 POINTS: Arsenal, Newcastle, Norwich
0 POINTS: Aston Villa, Hull, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Swansea City, West Ham

RM has already gained as many points after the 80th minute with 14 to go as Fergie did in any of the previous ten leagues. It's worth noting that United won a lot, and so presumably weren't behind often enough to gain points after 80 minutes in every game, but nevertheless, the salient point is this:

Fergie Time is now Roberto Time

*Or Martinez time, as above

Needs a comparison to last year I feel to see if it's relevant to us? I like to think it's because we're not putting 11 men behind the ball in the last 10 like we used to with Moyes but I'm sure the stats that come out will prove me wrong

I'm interested too. I feel like we came back a few times last year and all.

We only gained 5 points in the whole of last year in the last ten minutes in the league (late equalisers vs villa and wigan and that tottenham game).

But we must have lost nearly twice that many points to late goals, last year. Martinez is much better at seeing a game out, I think.

Seems like we earned quite a few points late on under Moyes, but then I think we lost quite a few too. Seemed like for a few years our games were dire until the end and then fireworks in the last few minutes.

I don't think that a chart of net points... but I remember dreading the final 10 minutes last league. Not the same now.

Yeah, there's the other end of the scale, how many did we let in in the last 10 minutes. I can remember a lot of it happening early on last season, games like Norwich spring to mind. Interesting stat though. I still firmly believe we pose more of a danger for the entire 90 minutes than we used to, not just because of our intent but the impact players we now can bring on from the bench (when they're all fit).

Just had a flashback to 2-1 against Spurs, boss day, that Vellios bicycle kick to Jelavic.

In terms of late goals under Moyes though I always picture us being 1-0 up at home against some gash team and them drawing 1-1, ffs.

Really ? I've got plenty of great memories of late goals under Moyes. Off the top of my head, what about Gosling's winner in the FA Cup derby, the Baines free kick that knocked Chelsea out of the cup, or Cahill's overhead kick that got us a draw at Chelsea in the league ?
