Open the stadiums.
Two wrongs don't make a right mate.Signed. I really don't understand why fans aren't back already. I was on a plane to the Canaries a few weeks back. The plane was full, so no social distancing. The ventilation system means that all the air breathed is recycled again and again, but the medical officers and government are obviously happy that it is considered safe.
So tell me how being in a semi-outdoor space which is what the stadium is would pose a problem?
Provided the clubs are sensible and don't demand season ticket holders have to return if they don't feel comfortable. I don't understand what the 'science' apparently is that is preventing this.
Just goes to show then that the rules aren't based on science, which is all I was pointing out.

Spurs furloughed their staff, yet are paying Gareth Bale £600k a week.
The whole of football is rotten.
The rich clubs could easily help out the lower league clubs, and hasn’t the government put finances in place until at least the new year to stop clubs going under ?
High quality tboughI’ve been to a few Isthmian / Southern league games; Kingstonian, Farnborough, Cray Wanderers. Off to Carshalton on Saturday. Half the price (or less), easy, free parking, and decent, competitive football. Premier League is expensive and over hyped.

I'm sure all of the main parties Con, Lab and Lib have very wealthy figures in them with big investments in companies like BA, EasyJet etc (or have family with big investment portfolios) and receive money donated to them individually as well as to their parties or funnelled to them by lobbyists. Air travel is big business no doubt. The rules are based on the current governments agendas. Remember when the pandemic kicked off and Hancock and Borris were taking questions on if Football matches should stop? Footballs always been a working class sport and it’s easy to vilify. They didn’t allow the same questions on Rugby or Cricket. Or when they said footballers should take a pay cut but I didn’t see them saying the same about formula 1 drivers etc, it’s a little harder to stop flights when a lot of the airline owners are direct contributors to your party.
AirportWatch | Huge sums of money have been paid to political parties by donors associated with aviation industry, most to Brexit Party and Conservatives
"DeSmog" has found that British political parties and individual politicians have received more than £9 million worth of donations from the aviation industry, since 2001, with the vast majority going to the Brexit Party (now) and the Conservatives. The individual politician to get the most was...www.airportwatch.org.uk
Something like every 2-3mins on an airplane the air is recycled with clean air coming in through the engine, so about 20-30 times an hour. The air at altitude is very different to that at ground level and when the plane sucks it in through special filters it's cleaning 99.97% of particles. It's not foolproof but it's still a lot safer than people think.I'm sure all of the main parties Con, Lab and Lib have very wealthy figures in them with big investments in companies like BA, EasyJet etc (or have family with big investment portfolios) and receive money donated to them individually as well as to their parties or funnelled to them by lobbyists. There's also a tax incentive for government from flying in that you pay passenger air duty with every flight. You don't get that with going to the match.
The rights and wrongs of it is where people are going astray. I don't care what the rules are. I'm saying that the reasoning behind it is false. It is a lie. The science and risk is definitely no worse in stadiums than from flying. How could it be? Not only are you outdoors in the stadium, but you are only with supporters for what? 90 minutes. You're on a plane breathing the exact same air as everyone else on the plane for between 2-14 hours.
