Players who should never ever wear the shirt again

Come on lads, can we stop hating our own players please?

The players were terrified yesterday, we need to back these players while they wear our shirt.

Im almost certain this will fall on deaf ears and by all means rip em on here, but lets swerve taking things to twitter and tagging them in, lets swerve the abuse at the game. A LOT of these players are on borrowed time and will be punted shortly, but some of them wont be easy to shift and we "need" some of them at the moment.

Lets just all calm down, yeah?
Yes. If you have to throw a hissyfit, do it within the confines of your own home. Why do our fans think showing up every Saturday/Sunday to hurl abuse at the lads equals loyalty? If they make you feel like a scorned lover every time they step on the pitch, why not boycott the game? Why bombard all of our guys on social media? It’s just sad.

....my word, Richarlison is without doubt our greatest footballing asset. That’s because he’s a very effective footballer, that’s because he would be on the shopping list of the best clubs. I don’t think many top managers will agree with your analysis.
You may be right we have quite a good record of selling players considered the dogs pyjamas here only to be exposed as quite ordinary in more illustrious company - Rodwell, Stones, Barkley, Lescott, Pienaar, Arteta, Barmby, Lukaku spring to mind. Richarlison would be another imo.

He does play for Brazil. Lukkaku's doing alright at Inter now as man u are [Poor language removed]. Was Arteta that bad?

Brazil are mush these days so not the high bar of yesteryear and Utd couldn't get shut of Rom quick enough he was the subject of laughter and ridicule at OT. His Inter career is in it's infancy but he might do ok as Italian footy is fascinatingly cack these days. Arteta was brought in to replace Fabregas ask any goooner who they would choose from the 2 in their midfield and it wouldn't be mickey.

I think it's fairly obvious that we've been a rung below for the past 20 years and as such it's been a step up for players moving away from us in big money deals. however, the mixed success of previous exitees doesn't automatically negate Richarlison's potential- he's is only 22 for god's sake. Did you see his goal at the weekend?

Get behind him.

Of the present squad I said he is one of only 4 I would consider keeping so not a question of not getting behind him.

Examining his game and that of all players for good or bad is part and parcel of a togger forum he may go on to emulate Ronaldo but unlikely imo because he lacks concentration and has a penchant for vanishing.

He won't emulate Ronaldo I don't think. Nonetheless he works hard when he isn't rolling about on the floor. Perhaps that might reflect in greater consistency as he continues to develop. I think he does a lot less vanishing than most of the rest of the squad.

Agree 100%. The scapegoating of certain players is nothing short of disgraceful. By all means criticise, thats your right as a supporter but the perception sometimes is that scapegoating is taking out a grudge on a particular player that you simply don't like, for whatever reason. For example, on the whole Phil Neville did a good job for Everton even though he played a season to long and yet was never accepted and vilified by a section of the fan base. A number of our current players are vilified in the same way and personal attacks on social media are nothing short of cowardly. Some of the stuff said about certain players is downright embarrassing. Pickford is Englands goalkeeper and according to some is not good enough for Everton. Rubbish. Siggardson should never play for Everton again because he is out of form and surrounded by out of form players.Rubbish. It goes on. What happened to supporting your team through thick and thin? Social media has a lot to answer for..some can sit at their keyboard saying what the like about players and managers and usually without answer. Personally I don't like it...the constant criticism and complaints and the toxic atmosphere in grounds because a team loses a football match to another team has become more important than the game of football, and that should not be the case.

We live in eternal hope and nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be proved wrong but his performance in the derby game told me everything I needed to know about his level

Phil Neville was a stain on our reputation for years afterwards, and the worst player in the team.

Can’t be including Coleman and Davies here lads, they might not be up to scratch quality wise but they always give it everything unlike the others mentioned.

For players not currently out on loan who we know aren’t good enough, Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson and Walcott stand out like a sore thumb. First 3 that need to go.

Walcott has been fine recently. He was as bad as the rest in the 2nd half against the RS, but was our star player in the first half.

Thats an opinion you have. Some peoples hero Moyes thought otherwise. And if you were there the day of his tackle on Ronaldo...the tackle which kick started our season, you might understand that he was committed to Everton more than some others!

He was rubbish in the derby. Was it him who missed the chances though?
There was an opportunity early doors in the second half when they were finding their feet. Back peddling like mad we had them where we wanted Rico had possession on the edge of the box with Digne (I think) careering past him for the overlap and he noticeably froze. He didn't play Digne in dithered like a tart and the opportunity was squandered, they nicked the ball and from there took over the game with the inevitable result.

Top players don't get caught in the headlights but it's a common fault among our "best" players hence our woeful derby record and he seems yet another example.

Listen to Ancelotti’s comments on him after yesterday’s game. Probably the only good thing silva did in his time here was bringing Richarlison to the club, but Paul Merson would disagree!!!!
