At the same time if we got Shilton and with how long he stuck around maybe we would never have got Southall.

Good point,i think big Nev was the better keeper,but we had a very decent side in the late 1970s and maybe just maybe this signing would have kick-started a period of dominance which would have included the mid 80s too,either with shilton or Nev in nets,who knows?all hypothetical eh?
