Players We Probably Wont Sign in Jan!

After the summers drawn out chasing of players i'm keeping quiet about who we should bring in,cant be disappionted then

Couldnt agree more, elano would be a great addition to the team, plus, he will score goals. He also looks out of favour at City, not been playing too much. Would be a good deal to get him.
 
I'm not to keen on Elano to be honest. He's a good player but he's one dimensional in terms of positioning. He's only really good behind the striker, on the wing or in the middle he isn't really effective.

I'd rather just move Arteta to the middle and buy Vicente (Brownie's idea) or maybe even Yuri Khirkov. Proper left sided wingers.
 
Vicente must be ancient now seems like he's been around forever.

Zhirkov would be good.

edit- Vicente is 27?!? Jesus he's been around for ages. I remember him being said in the same breathe as De La Pena and Nadal.

You made me remember when Curbs finally figured out who Tevez was. In the last 1/3 of the season he'd do things that would take your breath away. Every time WH went on the attack the mission was to get him the ball and see what he could do. He was a striker who could play as an attacking mid whenever he wanted. It was awesome. Now despite being a productive player (and a good signing) he's just another guy on Man Utd. Ronaldo gets all the touches and now his role is just to stay in the box and be an ordinary goal poacher. Granted he's pretty good at it, but its sad to see a great player's role reduced to this, and this is why big clubs who stockpile players are ruining football.

IMO, Elano has gone missing since the middle of last season. With his new strick fource, he should be generating all kinds of assists. I think it is possible that we have already seen the best from him.
 

Worth a shout?

Daniel Sturridge at City, have always rated him highly and with City possibly spending big in Jan maybe he may available at a knock down fee, or a loan untill the end of the season?

I'd prefer someone more experienced, I can't see Moyes getting another kid when we already have Vic there.

If Sturridge came with another experienced striker in January I'd happily take him. He's definatly got talent.
