Players of the season awards

Its a shame about the young player award. No one has earned it this year, it comes down to who has the most minutes.

Why is Oveido getting 37% ?? Imagine how the lad would feel walking up there accepting that after hardly playing at all this season.

Got to be duffys or barkleys for there u21 seasons of course! But not oveido...

He's played far more first team football.

Another vote for Baines here. Hopefully Mirallas will be in contention next season if he can stay off the physio's table. Anichebe would undoubtedly get most improved if that award existed.
Young player...a young player...erm...could go Barkley for the potential he showed while on loan I suppose?

1. Baines
2. Fellaini
3. Jagielka

The third spot was tough. Jagielka has been superb this season, but so has Anichebe and Coleman. If Mirallas never got injured i think he definitely would have gotten intoo my Top 3.

Baines for me, followed by Fellaini if not for this stupid transfer remarks and sendings off.

Anichebe gets a nod for potential, but young Coleman gets young player for me.

May I point out to you to the title of this thread, I see in one of your earlier posts you said an honourable mention for Anichebe, really, Anichebe before Osman.

hes performed consistently when fit, i'm not going to blame a player for being injured, he's not player of the year but hasn't really had a dip in form, the same cant be said of Osman, who has been awful for a good long while.

Player of the season - Leighton Baines

Young player - Seamus Coleman (if he qualifies)

Signing - Steven Pienaar

Most Improved - Victor Anichebe

Goal - Leighton Baines (Free kick versus Newcastle)

U21 Player - John Lundstram

U18 Player - Matthew Pennington

Baines is the clearest case of player of season I have ever known. . only players that have hit near his level..(Fellaini, Gibson, Anichebe, jags, coleman, mirallas) have done it for a handful of games . Great attitude, nice guy, unbelievable talent, loves the club, going nowhere. how many teams can claim to have a player with all those qualities

2) Felli
3) Anichebebe

Young un: scrap the award. it would be offensive to hand over an award to a youngster in a season when none broke through, that includes Oviedo as he's played so little, and above that, has had no competition for the award

young player of the year may have to go to Velios just for laying on the Spurs goal if we finish ahead of them...its been that hard to think of an impact anyones made
