Pip in midfield

As far as i'm concerned there is no excuse for playing Neville in midfield unless we are totally decimated by injuries.

And if Moyes plays him there because A: he thinks he is good enough, or B: he doesn't think he is good enough but thinks he should play just because he is the captain and doesn't want to play him at right back then Moyes is showing a serious lack of judgement and managerial ability.

Its blindingly obvious that Neville is nothing better than average on a good day in midfield and we become so vunerable when he plays there. And it will be even worse if we dont have a decent DM to cover for him.

Ones of Moyes few faults but if it costs us games then its a major one.

Neville in midfield? No.

Neville at right back? Yes.

And even then, I'd rather see Hibbert back there with a "defense first" approach.

i think the sad fact is that moyes rates neville and has set his sights on playing him as a center midfeilder.

i think neville is a great pro but it doesnt change the fact his passing is dire , his tackling is erratic , he is wimpy and weak , lastly he doesnt have much technical or shooting ability.in fact i think he is technically a completely average player at best.

his profesionalism and experience is all he offers our squad.

i also bet that even if we do buy do 5 or 6 players , that neville will be in the first game starting lineup as a midfeilder .

I fear that you may be right, but hope you are not. He simply isn't good enough and I've struggled to find any blue who thinks he is. He'll do for a while at RB but just doesn't cut it as a midfielder.

It's quite obvious that he isn't going to play there. Hibbert injured so he's got to start the season off at right back and Moyes priority is a defensive midfielder. I'm confident he'll be at right back for the majority of next season.

Hopefully we'll get M'Bia in soon.

I have the same feeling. Pip in midfield if we don't see any experience coming in. I'm sure the dominoes will start to fall soon but if not we still have a great core of players its the depth that scares me at the moment. What we all hope is that injuries and knocks will remain few and far between.

If Moyes plays in midfield then he deserves the sack. I'm not messing either, it would be detrimental to our progression. He's already played for the full season in 05/06 season and we finished 11th.

Moyes loves Pip to death. He plays somewhere. RB is his place for me but don't be surprised if you see the team lineup with him in midfield on occasion.

sadly you are correct.

Has moyes actually enquired about darren fletcher?

i would personaly spit flames if we sign fletcher.
he is total [Poor language removed], ask any man utd fan who the worst midfeilder in the squad is, and they will say the same.the lad is the opitamy of a headless chicken.we might as well resign scott gemmill for all the good it will do us.

the sad thing is , if moyes rates neville as a midfeilder then he is mad enough to rate fletcher as good signing.

im 100 % confident that if fletcher comes to us that he will become a fan favourite ........ to boo.
