Pigs in the trough, again

You'd be surprised how popular that would be. They do it in Belgium. Top six play each other umpteen times, very full stadiums etc.. . Very good for the bigger clubs; the other teams play a sort of pre-season friendlies for a significant part of the season and struggle with filling their stadium.

Yeah people are dumb, it'd do ok.

But this is all about Henry desperately trying to get more money to pay off the huge ever growing debt he's accumulating.

Greedy John is right though, only six teams have ever won the EPL, Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Blackburn and Leicester, so maybe they should get more.......

It’s all negotiation tactic lads, will never happen, state an out there option and negotiate backwards, you can see it a mile off.

The true agenda is yet to reveal itself.

We know, but why is it always the same club that does it........

It makes 'perfect sense' to lfc and the other 5, to take more and more money from TV rights. That way it makes it more difficult for the other 14 clubs to get better players in and therefore less likely to beat the top 6 teams. If lfc don't get their way it will be interesting to see if they will attempt to form a breakaway TV group.

For what it is worth, i have no interest in a European super-league or the 'big 6' getting a bigger slice of a huge pie.

I only renewed my season ticket last season (Wembley) so i would be able to get one for the new stadium. I have been saying i am going to knock the Premier League on the head for the last 2 seasons & talked myself/been talked out of it. Think i will be at a non-league ground in 2019-2020 (i have to be STRONG & not waiver when the time comes!).

No one would watch a European league, the group stages of the CL are proof of this. The only show anyone would be watching would be what remained of the PL. These idiots really will kill the exact thing that creates the revenue they are so desperate for.

These are owners who want to compete for everything to keep the fan base quiet but don’t want to spend any money to do it so want guaranteed European entry, no domestic competition, and a closed European league purely for untapped markets not yet bored with a sport where there is no competition. The stupid fool doesn’t even realise that if he pulls it off it will end the champions league and invalidate their ‘5 times’.

Only a matter of time before the big clubs want a bigger share of the PL money on offer as is the case in Spain, not sure about other leagues. Also as has been said I believe a European Super League is about when not if.
