Andy Hinchcliffe, Anders Limpar, Andre Kanchelskis, Wayne Rooney (i knwo but true) Gary Linekar. Mikel Arteta ,

My top six ive seen @Goodison

I never rated pienaar pre world cup it was kind of like osman just trulu undervalued their skills

Gravesen was better than Limpar, and definitely Hinchcliffe. I'd probably have Dacourt over Hinchcliffe, and a load others. Fellaini and Ferguson and all.

graveson limpar is a close one i lean towards limpar although i can see both sides

hinchcliffe graveson....two different roles but id have hinchcliffe 10/10 times

I think Arteta's still better than Pienaar. Arsenal love him.

We miss him less than we missed Pienaar because we have good options in center mid in his stead. Aside from Donovan and Drenthe's intermittent games for us, we've had our wings occupied by two of Osman, Anichebe, Gueye and Coleman since he left. That's a rubbish roster of wingers, truth to be told.

If we had a Fellaini-level player on the wings we'd have missed Pienaar just as little as we've missed Arteta.

It is a bit weird that, after he has come in to replace Fabregas and Arsenal haven't been doing as well as they think they should. But he has looked pretty consistent for them. Arteta ahead of Pienaar for me. If CMs were as rare as wingers we would be seeing different opinions from people.

Arteta on form is a joy to watch and will always be better to watch than Pienaar.

Arteta smacking corners into the first defender or wandering deep in the midfield with no vigor is painful to watch because you want to see the above.

Given the choice of who I'd have back now I'd take Pienaar all day based on our strength in depth for their respective positions.

Pienaars best stuff for us always came when Arteta wasnt in the team he thrives being one of the creative focal points of the team.

Hes a very good player, but he needs to be and have the ball, thats why he struggled at Spurs he needs to be a focal point not an also ran fighting for the ball with Bale, VDV, Modric etc.

Thats why he thrives at Everton hes given the foundation to do his best stuff as a main man.
