Pienaar Signs for Spurs...

There's an article on Goal.com that completely sums up what a lot of people on here were saying about his move to Spurs. Can't post the link due to my post count but basically has old wobbly face saying...

"I couldn't sit here and say he will take someone's place," he told reporters. "There is competition for all places.

"He can play in several positions across midfield. He keeps the ball and he'll enjoy playing in our team.

"He and [Leighton] Baines were fantastic down the left at Everton.

"We have Gareth Bale who plays wide left so it's a difficult position to get into. Aaron [Lennon] has done great as well.

"They have all been doing great so he has to work hard to get into the team."

He's not gonna get a game by the sounds of it. Wonder if he will like being a squad player.

I can't believe we got £2.5m quid for a player who has 6 months left on his contract.
Oh and honestly, he's not that big of a loss. He often looks very good when playing, but we just seen do fine without him. He's not the most productive player for the skills he commands.

I am happy to see him go now....I reckon he wanted out a long time ago.

At the end of the day we got him for 2 million for 4 years "solid" service.

And we got back more then we paid, 3 months before he would have walked free.

It could provide the only transfer we see this window.

God... NOW I really hate spurs!

I hope AC Milan stuff 'em in the champions league,

and I hope they don't qualify again... EVER!

UEFA's regulations actually do place limitations on what “related companies” can offer financially in terms of sponsorship. So that's a gonner.

It'll be a limit associated with "affliated companies" (i.e. a defined % share holdings). They will look at EVERY suspicious sponsorship, share deal, corporate boxing, naming rights - EVERYTHING in the club's accounts.

They can probably try and get round it at the edges but any flagrant breaches .... and ... the regulators UEFA (and their lawyers) are determined this era of over-leveraging and the advantage of English clubs (due to TV money and previous access to cheap debt) - is coming to an end.

Anyone not complying can kiss bye bye to Champions League football.

so the man city ground deal falls where on this?

oh sorry!!!

They've exploited a legal loophole which will lead to rules being changed in the future. As it is I dont except any consequences for city and I wish we had people at the top with their heads screwed on. And billions of pounds obviously.
