Wasn't overly bothered until BBC 5 live have cancelled Elis and John for today. Like anyone gives enough of an f about the old racist besides his immediate family to have a radio station change its schedule. It's not an early death, he wasn't a monarch, and he wasn't a great person.

And I had the racing recorded on ITV 1....tuned in to find it had been cancelled and moved to ITV 4.

I missed the first race.

Cricket commentary back on like they've never been away.

6 Music playing one of Shostakovich's gloomier symphonies on a continuous loop.

Spitting Image (Luck & Flaw) - original series- always comes to mind.

A Tory minion, one Norman Tebbit, had been embroiled in a row about this time, following his inflammatory ‘onyerbike’ comment to the country’s unemployed.

Cue Phil’s puppet in medal-adorned, full regalia, asserting those immortal words, “well I’ve done bugg*r all for the last fifty years and it’s done me no harm”.

Classic.
