Firstly, I am far from being a big Neville fan, but I think we miss his leadership and drive when he is absent from midfield. We suffered today from a powder-puff midfield in which Gibson and Osman were lamentable and even Pienaar and Fellaini failed to impose themselves.
Until we can find a captain to boss things on the field, Neville is our only option, sadly. Therefore he has to stay until the end of the season but MUST be replaced in the summer.
