Sack him off, shouldn't even consider renewing his contract.I was embarrassed when we took him from utd & I'm still embarrassed that he plays for us, don't think any other prem club would give him the time of day.

Embarrassed? Really?

When he first came I thought he was a good acquisition, and his experience would be invaluable, which I think was true in the early days. Now I think he his still a great captain and marshalls the team well, but, and it's a big but, his premier playing days are very much numbered. When we break from the back if the ball ends up at his feet everything stops and he either goes laterally or backwards with the pass. Think he's been a good servant to the club and I love his passion, but time to hang up the boots

That saved me some typing

I think he's been a great signing and he still tries his best but I think we should be looking to replace him for next season. Age has caught up with him and he's no Scholes/Giggs.

He's a self-serving, self-publicist and a bit of a politician around the club. Not things I like in a player.

He can still do a job at RB though. For now.

He's done a decent job for us over the years but he's always been very limited as a player. Time to freshen it up i feel.

I like him very much and think he's been a tremendous signing for this club, but tbh I hope this willprove to be his final year at Goodison. Prefer seeing his wages spend on a younger and more influential player. Wish him all the best for the future though.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not been a "model pro", but he was very limited as a young player at utd & they offloaded him because he couldn't perform to their expected level.
We're absolutely carrying him now, he offers nothing that a cheap lower league player couldn't give us, it's not acceptable for a physically & technically "steady" player on massive wages to pull on the royal blue week after week.
