Lol, The worst captain in this clubs history. A guy who's career would of ended in the lower leagues within a few years of it starting were it not for his infinitely more talented brother. A professional hanger-on is all Phil Neville ever was, combined with being quite possibly the biggest kiss arse and teachers pet that its possible to be with both managers he worked under. What’s disappointing is that if this was the United job he’d never be piping up because he would think himself not good enough, yet he thinks that he’s more than ok for Everton. This sort of thinking has held us back. The next manager cannot be someone with a lifelong adulation of United/Barcelona/Bayern/Liverpool/ anyone else. They need to recognise that success with Everton means titles and cups and therefore they will be at the pinnacle of the game if they achieve this. Getting in people thinking ‘i’ll be hailed as a miracle worker if I get them 7th then a top club might want me’ doesn’t work. No to any Manc rats, no to any Guardiola wannabes, no to any Klopp disciples. I want someone who worships at the altar of Catterick and Kendall.
