going to be gutted if this is the case.

I'm hoping Brands hasn't seen anything in him, which inturn means he's seen nothing in Silva too

I would imagine that a shortlist of managers has already been put to Brands and he's ok'd who he believes will fit the new style, I can't see any other reason why we wouldn't of interviewed Fonseca while he was here, knowing we was sacking BFS
