so he's like, pretty good then?

will we be more tolerable of a poor season or two along the way if we want him long-term?

We’ve got to be, we can’t be sacking another manager after all the upheaval we’ve had in recent years.

That’s why it’s important we get someone, like Fonseca, who seems to have all the attributes to get us to the top as we’ve got to just be patient and back him.

After 30 years of shocking football, no trophies, 1 lone 6th place finish being the height of his acheivements, sacked for bungs and generally being known as a ‘Mike Bassett’ type of figure, Sam is not that man and hasn’t done anything to warrant that backing. Nor would he be allowed it by the fan base anyway.

Fonseca would unite our support IMO.

What attributes has Fonseca got that’ll supposedly unite the fanbase and have us giving him masses of patience?

He just sounds like the latest flavour of the month foreign name to me, his CV is bang average imo.

He would initially. But if he went on a run of poor results early on then plenty on here would be calling for him to be sacked by September.

Is it though?

Either way, means christ all in the grand scheme of things, especially now.
