Pace...OR LACK OF IT.

What scares me is that with all our so called "utility players" that moyes has been renowned for buying, why the hell can't we mix it up? Why are we now the most one dimensional, predictable team in the prem?

If it ain't happening on the left, it ain't happening at all! Why can we not play through the middle or down the right? Why does davie refuse to gamble even though we have been the same for the last 10 games or more?

He is the most frustrating thing about everton, one minute he is the saviour, the next, I wish he'd just do one and let us try a manager who may just have some balls.

I know that McAleny has had injury problems and hasn't always been available, but even when fit he is rarely involved.
From what I have seen of him his biggest attribute seems to be his pace.We know that he has been in the first team and hasn't made a disgrace of himself.
Why not have a player like him on the bench,if the game is not going in our favour bring him on to see if he can change things a little by using his pace.

Not trying to be wise after the event, but it didn't take a genius to work out that Utd knew that if Fellaini was going to be played in the same position as he was last August and Sir Alex knew that he had to counteract this threat or risk losing the game.
Sure enough,we play him in the same position,Utd man mark him and we lose a lot of our potency.
I would suggest that Fellaini should have started deeper, move Osman,Pienaar or Mirallas further forward and give Utd a different problem to deal with.Later in the game it would have been possible to move Fellaini further forward and it may have been more ffective then...it seems to me that there was a deficit in creative thinking.

Aye, it's all about 'cutting inside' (ony of the many modern football phrases that annoy me) these days. No one wants to just smash a powerful cross in to the box any more.

It's because there won't be a centre forward in the box, he'll be at the back sorting out the wall.

Total Football ftl.

That Beckford goal was class. His pace was something dangerous, not a world beater, but quick and had a habit of being in the right place. Could have done with him recently could we not..

Lad, it's the worst when it gets passed back to him, he waits whilst the opposition run at him before shanking it out for a throw in.

Happens at least twice a game.

And its even worse when one of our defenders goes wide for an easy pass but he ignores them and still kicks it out anyway.

Possibly because we have the most one dimensional and predictable manager in the division? Or am I being a tad harsh?

I know we don't have much pace in our team but on the whole the attacking football we've played this season has been fantastic, the best I've ever seen (I'm 24), especially at the beginning of the season.

Yes I know we couldn't break Man U down but they're running away with the league this year for a reason. A lot of the threads I'm reading at the moment seem very knee jerk and I think we'll come good again.

*cue humiliating loss to Oldham.

Maybe ,we are underestimating the worth of Coleman in our team.
He brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the right hand side.
