Good times. Didn't look as good from where I was standing at the time.

Pienaar seems to be an expert on stopping play and if Baines is not around he'll pass to the defenders and it'll end with either a Jags or T-Star hoof straight at the opposition.

We're the only team i know who passes backwards on a counter attack.
This is true. We always seem to attack the hard way, by keeping possession until our opposition has 11 men behind the ball and then try to break them down. It's one of the reasons jelavic has looked poor this season, he's always surrounded by defenders by the time we're ready to give it to him.

truth is lads genuine pace at this level costs money ( surely everyone dog in the street knows about our lack of money at this stage) and it may or may not surprise you that there isnt that many players around wit bags of it to burn

Moyes always has at least one quick centre-back in the team, but he doesn't seem to fancy playing with natural wingers (who are generally faster than the converted playmakers he favours) and most of the strikers he's bought have been fairly slow.

He has brought in a few pacey midfielders and forwards over the years, but for some reason they never seem to last long.

Its not just the pace of individual players but the pace of the team overall. We play at a slow pace and always have done really under Moyes.

Which isn't too bad when we play as well as we have been this season, but when we do play deeper and more defensively its frustrating to see counter attacks break down.

We have 1 quick player and 1 strong player in our midfield and attack, Mirallas and Felli, everyone else is just... I dont know? Clever? Needs sorting out, we need a midfield enforcer desperately

There is this chap who plays in Holland for FC Twente, name of Lery something or other. Been told he is quite the enforcer, great engine, wants to move to the Premier League...

We should try and buy...oh wait...

The last bit is a point.

Who are the throwback wingers that can beat a man at will and burn it to the byline? There's a lot of good play and jinking around but these are few and far in between, Ronaldo, Walcott and Valencia come to mind immediately.

DISCUSS!

Lad, it's the worst when it gets passed back to him, he waits whilst the opposition run at him before shanking it out for a throw in.

Happens at least twice a game.

Aye, it's all about 'cutting inside' (ony of the many modern football phrases that annoy me) these days. No one wants to just smash a powerful cross in to the box any more.
