Been told messut Ozil can see in 4D due to his chameleon like eyes, but I’m highly sceptical about this. I Could proven wrong
Is this your challenge. Other than this always thought he was a lazy player but I also take on board that he probably didn’t have to run too much as his peripheral vision gave him an advantage?

Yes, I read his statement. That's why I said earlier he probably should have thought about it more. He's only got himself to blame if sponsors get itchy feet after his photo-op with a dangerous dictator.

You're still not very specific. After a bit of searching, the quote is a translation from a tabloid. There's no link so I can't see what the original quote is from the tabloid. I've already said tabloids are part of the problem, but other than that I can't accept your 'whiny' accusation without a proper link.

No, because in that photo there was only two: Özil & Gündogan. Gündogan is not as big a name as Özil, so naturally the focus is on the more senior player.

You still haven't said in what regard you mean that. What do you mean and why is the far right relevant here?
 
Ozil is a disgrace in playing the racism card IMO and thick to boot for meeting with Erdogan. An enemy of the country he represents.. I mean how thick can you be? and he expected a pat on the back?

Not that simple and I don't think he ever expected a pat on the back, or anything at all, to come of this meeting other than a photo. He represents Germany but is of Turkish descent.

Now, yes Erdogan is a [proactive self-censorship] and should not be the leader of Turkey, but I highly doubt Ozil ever thought this was about more than a courtesy visit with the leader of his family's home country.
 
he met a leader of a country of his parents. yes erdogan is very controversial, but it wouldn't matter for Germany, if the Turkish leader was somewhat secular and democrat who has a great relationship with West etc, German media would still attack Özil even in that case because of the meeting itself.

Two poor points in one post that. I know his eyes are a popular joke among some folk, but it's a bit simple for here. The lazy thing I touched on earlier, for me he's not lazy, it's just his style (like Henry or Le Tissier) which has proven to reap rewards.

I wouldn't go as far to say he's playing the racism card, but with his statement he is unwittingly playing at furthering division (under the umbrella of the opposite). He's deffo not thick, he's a thoughtful lad, but that Erdogan meeting was ill-judged at best.

And Turkey aren't our enemy, thank the gods!

Erdogan is an enemy of Germany. The vile crap he has been coming out with about German say's it all

Özil admitted the meeting was to "respect the highest office of my family's country". It's a bit more than courtesy, tho' it must also be said the meeting was in London, not Turkey itself. How planned it was has never been clear.

I understand, mate. We in Germany don't want to do him the favour of calling him our enemy, he'd love that. He's a divisive dangerous dictator who has done more than most to damage German/Turk relations. Many German-Turks love him, tho'...he's instilled in them a sense of pride & belonging. The sense of having two countries they can call home while keeping their own culture. If you're a German-Turk and you don't like that idea, you better keep it to yourself. Erdogan's cry to murder traitors wasn't a joke.

Dodgy times, to say the least.

Erdogan phoned Özil to "congratulate" his decision & statement. "He was patriotic in this decision, I kiss him. They can't take away our photo. It's unacceptable for Özil to be racially abused because of his religious belief."

Gleefully pouring oil on the fire...
