Why? Even discounting the Everton connection, he is the number 9 for the current runaway favourites to win the Championship, and currently on the radar of other Premier League clubs. Either way, he's likely to be playing PL football within the next year. Barry was a European fifth division striker only a few years ago, Simms is arguably a more complete player at this point. I'm not saying he's the next number 9, I'm just saying he'd be worth looking at.

Yeah i agree...he would be an improvement....I'm still hoping Barry can find his way, but who knows.....
This is the best team we've had in a long time, best midfield.....if we had a young Lukaku coming in now we'd be upsetting some people....
Can we find a Super Kev, or a Jelavic in January?, I hope so.....I'd take Richy if ye can't find better, but I feel like with some luck we can..

Saying that the issue of a lack of goals is a huge burden now, not on the next player to step up but on Moyes and the recruitment team.

A more clinical striker would obviously add more goals than we currently have, but I feel the attacking tactics which have been an issue all season would hinder any striker from regularly scoring. We're so slow in our build up play , if we tried to create more breaks that were similar to Barry's first goal I think we'd be productive goal wise instead the ball gets plodded around then we send a bunch of aimless crosses into the opposition box where the defense is concentrated

He's not a first choice for Coventry and if they do get promoted he'll be sold or loaned out to a West Brom kinda side. He's nowhere near good enough and not an upgrade on what we already have so he'll just be another striker we'll be needing to get rid of as soon as possible
