I thought Andy Van Der Meyde was going to be a superstar based on his time at Ajax and just signing from Inter Milan.. 13 year old me was so excited at the time.

Tony Cottee was a massive signing at the time,wasn't a disaster but it never quite worked out the way i was hoping.
