Our best ever signing...

kevin Campbell was a belting signing. Sorted us right out.

Hard to think of a player that literally saved a club like he did.

Kanchelskis was a cracking buy of a massive club at the peak of his career and I don’t know how it happened.
Martyn was outstanding and basically a free transfer
Arteta was peanuts and although only 2.5m we nearly missed out as we didn’t want to go over 2m
Cahill was a massive success for 1.7m
Thought weir was a quality signing
Baines was great for 6m

But gun to my head? Have to go super Kev , if he didn’t come in and we went down , which was a pretty real possibility, we wouldn’t have came back up and I don’t even want to think what the next 5 years would have been like

Mine are from the prem era as I didn’t really follow footy until the prem started as it wasn’t really available in Cyprus and I didn’t move to the Uk until 1991

Bobby Collins in the late 1950s kept us in the top flight, and with the RS still in the second division, ensured that newly born war-babies
became Evertonians, mainly down to the "Wee Man".

As a 70s child can only comment on what ive seen.

Kevin Campbell gotta be up there. Andy Gray. Leighton Baines has to be close. Big Nev. Any of the 84 -87 squad really.

Due to emigrating twice , was only able to go to the match reguarly 77 to 81 and like to pick what I seen - Bob Latchford , in a team that should have won trophies !
