He had established himself and was doing very well up until the Kangaroo Court banned him for three games after Palace.

Those three games coincided with a little and alas temporary upturn in our fortunes so Oumar was frozen out again.

He will not get a start over Cenk any time soon so unless Sam goes with two up front the Prince will continue to warm the bench :(
No coincidence that he played his best under Unsworth as he was trying to press from the front and kept a higher line. Pressing suits his game to a tee because he doesn’t stop working and harrying, same with DCL. Allardyce doesn’t press and likes his team to sit deep, very deep!

So, another like Naismith who is derided for being 'not being a Footballer', but somehow manages to score a disproportionate amounts of goals for his supposed skill level. Well he must be doing something right.
Perhaps if those who are better footballers in this squad had his instinct, timing and effort they could score once in a while.

He might not have the worlds best technical skills but he is a more effective footballer than most of our squad.
He's a striker that scores goals, I'd take one of those over an ineffective 'Footballer' any day

Keep banging them in my Sweet African Prince.

Don't you dare compare that gash little rodent Naismith to the prince.

Perhaps rather than an impact sub, start with him to grab that all important 1st goal not use him as a catch up.

When was the last time we scored first in a match?

I honestly can’t remember.

Probably versus the Barcodes.

And before that, when was the last time a team scored an equaliser against us?

I think it was Palace in the 2-2.....but they were the first team to score.

we went 2-1 down to Palace I think Khal

Yep, the last time we scored first was against Newcastle.

Before that, in the Europa Lg in that dead rubber.

Before that, Huddersfield and West Ham.

When we do take a lead it gives us a lot of confidence that we can hold it, clearly.

But far too often we hand all the initiative over to the opposition.

So what you're saying is when we score first we win?
