2017/18 Oumar Niasse

Oumar had absolute zero supply at Anfield, he spent most of his time in his own half defending, I really think that is an unfair comment BT to say he 'Stunk the place out' really unfair, it's not his fault if we're captive in our own half and putting eleven players behind the wall.

Agree with your second paragraph though to be fair.

Niasse should be used by us as an impact sub, he's proved more than worthy of being given an opportunity when there is a need to freshen things up.

Well, may be not more than anyone else, but his touch was awful, his passing awful.

I think he's an impact player because he comes on with pace and energy and has that knack of being in the right place at the right time.

At the moment the one thing we are woefully short of is goals.

Nah, we're all over the place all over the pitch.

We showed before Christmas - get it right at the back and the goals will come.

We have to go back to that.

It doesn't mean being boring. We were a lot less boring before Christmas than we are now.

I agree we're terrible all over the pitch but we are creating so few chances in matches at the moment that we need someone with a knack for slotting. I've been a huge critic of our Oumar but his chance conversion rate this season is enviable. I agree with everyone who says he should be an impact sub, his all round play is poor but give him a snapshot and he invariably hits the target. The idea that we were considering selling him this window is inconceivable to me.

Yep, glad to see sense has prevailed.

A few weeks ago it looked like we'd be okay. Now, it's clear we aren't.

Like you, I don't think anyone is benefitted by him starting.

That's not blaming him, but with how we invariably set up (which is the issue) he'd just get marked out of the game and be running around like a headless chicken most of the game (only time it actually worked was away at Palace with Gylfi in behind him and two wingers stretching the pitch - even though Lookman was pretty dire that da).

But we know we won't play like that.

Niasse did very good at Hull under Marco Silva. Everton need to go for Silva, as I feel he will be able to get the best out of Niasse and unlock his true potential.
Yes yes yes! We need Silva ! I have a feeling it’s already a done deal behind the scenes ...

Niasse’s volley was world class. (Lukaku wouldn’t be able to do that) His skills with the ball in the air are soo soo good ..
