I think he's really quite poor. But the thing is, he gets into the right positions at the right times to be quite poor. Only part of that is a never-say-die attitude.
It'd be interesting to see what he'd do with wingers who take the ball to the goal line and deliver quality crosses...I think he'd be almost unplayable

Obviously practices have confounded his value to the team especially in the minds of Martinez and Koeman. Perhaps even to a small extent Unsworth. Has Sam figured him out like we have. A tenacious gamer when called upon. Gets his chances.

I just love his work ethic and attitude. Got all the time in the world for him.

He's not the most technically gifted, but his playing style just seems so unorthodox, I don't even think he knows what he's going to do half the time, never mind defenders trying to figure him out.

I still think he is most effective coming on as an impact sub when we need to change things up, but I am genuinely glad he stuck around and is getting his reward this season.

Also that header yesterday was hilarious, he never meant to send it back the way it came, I reckon if he had planted it the way he looked like he was trying to, the keeper might have got a hand on it.

..he might have his limitations but he’s been terrific. Fortuitous header yesterday, but he was in the right place at the right time. He’s a fine runner and the opposition CBs will always know they’ve been in a game. I’m sure that attitude is why he’s starting games during this difficult time.
