The fact you said "overrated".

Followed immediately by "my mate is bang average at best by Under 21 standards and had Guidetti in his back pocket twice last season" and nothing else.

He never got a proper chance at City but 20 goals in 23 appearences for Feyenoord suggests he might have something in him. Another young player who potentially may have stunned his promising career by joining Chelsea or City.

They were in two separate paragraphs, though, weren't they.

And Wigan FTY.

Matic back to Chelsea for almost 21M:

Chelsea have confirmed that the Serbia midfielder Nemanja Matic has returned to the club from Benfica in a deal understood to be worth £20.75m.
The 25-year-old, who will wear the No21 shirt, made three substitute appearances for Chelsea after signing from MSK Kosice in 2009 but left in January 2011 as part of the deal to sign David Luiz, in which he was valued at £3m.

...ooof! that's some hit.

It'll be like that when we get McManaman back from Wigan in the summer.

Jesus, wouldn't want this lid running after me on a dark night!

Shane Long looks set to sign for Hull City. He and Jelavic will be a decent partnership, maybe good enough to keep them up

surely chelsea have conducted the worst but of business in a while. sell a player for 2 million and buy him again for 21.

Wonder if Bill will adopt this policy? magay gueye in 2 years for 19 million.

I think it is in our best interests that rooney is sold asap. apparently we have a 25% sell on fee if he goes over hus original transfer.

Imagine Rooney being sold somewhere on deadline day and the profit we make securing lukaku.

Well we can hope and pray anyway.

So you're hoping the 20m it takes to sign Lukaku will be made on our 25% sell on fee (over price United paid) for Rooney?

So they'll need to sell him for £110m.

Unlikely I'd say.

We are owed nothing from any Rooney deal.

In the terms of the deal it was 25% of the profit, should they sell him for more than what he was signed for. Pretty sure it worked out to be around 27mil, so if they sold him for 30mil we would only get around 750k. That's if the clause even exists, it may have been waived to do with the Howard or Neville deals. But if you asked me it's irrelevant anyway, can't see them selling him for more than what they got for him with the time on his contract left

that was if they sold him in the first five years ( his first contract) they owe us nothing.

Yes but they did the best bit of business before that which was getting an owner who is minted rendering profit and loss on player sales irrelevant.
