Really nuts to see an MLS team spend so much at one time due to the salary cap rules. They now have 4 players that will want designated player-caliber salary, not sure how they're going to do it.

could have probably done that over here. just think £6m is very pricey for someone of that age and more importantly barely getting a look in.

No whispers yet. There was loose chatter of Shane Long as a 3rd choice but I think as Defoe will be with us until Feb27th we will probably just go with what we have for now.

Yeah, Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment. I guess they own the Leafs' AHL (minor league) affiliate as well.
