I think it was courageous to write that article and hats off to her for doing so. A view from the inside which we rarely see.
Hope she gets to see many more games and come to Goodison. I am sure if she made contact here there would be fellow fans to make her feel welcome.
A view from the inside, which sounds like she hasn't seen either. She 'assumes' and stereotypes and generalises white males as white supremacists.
If this was a white person talking about any other race or sex or religion the article would be ridiculed accordingly.
People speculate and try and see racism wherever and whenever they can make even a slight connection, and sometimes even if they can't. Yet because this woman is from a minority, the blatant racist tone of the piece is turned into some courageous endeavour and another stick to beat ourselves with.
Insane.
As I said I would love to take her to a match and educate her on her prejudices and how her stereotypical white male knuckle dragger doesn't apply to all match going white males.
