Well, you can see - rightly or wrongly - there's a social conditioning which makes it more tolerable for women to cry than men. People feel less comfortable with feller's blubbing.
Why does it make you feel uncomfortable though? If you can see that it is social conditioning rather than for any viable reason then surely you can take a step back and make a decision on it yourself rather than just repeating that it’s weird and that “in your day it wouldn’t have been accepted”?
What makes you feel comfortable seeing women cry but not men, in the same circumstance?
