I don't see it that way tbh. Both those jumpers have had issues at past Olympics with injuries/underperforming, are reaching the end of their peak and are good friends outside of the sport so it made sense for them to decide to share the medal. They also had the exact same record over all their jumps so there was nothing between them anyway.

I feel bad for Biles honestly. The media has made it seem like she is having emotional issues when actually that isn't the case. In gymnastics its too risky to not be 100% confident in your ability as it could lead to some horrible injuries.
