If it was any other nationality but GB, he would be saying its nice to see sports stars with passion ;)
No. Whatever the nationality I'd be saying "Look at these cry babies. They should thank their lucky stars".

Men in their 30 crying over not getting a piece of metal made out of recycled craps from phones. You couldn't make it up. They should just be celebrating they are able enough and good enough to compete at an olympic games.

Mate, I am 56, and I can guarantee that I will have a tear in my eye watching Call the Midwife later.

If I won a recycled phone spayed gold for being the best in der wurld, I would be a blubbering mess.

I defo do and have shown it on this thread.

I just cant stand sport being taken so seriously. It's really disgraceful.

The other end of the spectrum of emotion from elation watching or playing sport shouldn't be tears and mournfulness, it should be a bit of anger, regret...and character to take it on the chin and accept it like a man.

FFS, imagine we found out that Dixie Dean in the 1930s pissed himself crying in the dressing room after a defeat - he'd be reputationally damaged in my estimation.

There's plenty of (important) things to be getting upset about - the outcome of sporting competition is not one of them.

People are wired differently dave. It’s just emotions. Some folk get angry and some express their emotions via tears.

Dixie Dean could of cried every night when producing them returns.

I genuinely would like to think that if Samuel Taylor Coleridge had read this paragraph before writing "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" he have put his pen down and walked off defeated.

This is high art. Bravo.

The high jump final was proper kopite behaviour. Both shithouses and didn’t wanna lose. Fannies
Yes, all laughing and joking with each other earlier; then scratching each other's eyes out when trying to fit both heads through the medal lanyard and jostling for position on the number one podium.

Sums up this whole Olympiad: a joke.

Imagine a World Cup final getting to penalties and both teams agreeing not to carry out and share the trophy lol

The gold in the BMX by Charlotte Worthington was brilliant to watch.
Been out all day and just caught up with that - has to be one of the biggest displays of Olympian bottle we've seen these games. Attempts biggest trick there is on her first ride, never been done by a female rider, and crashes the landing. Second ride should prob be looking to consolidate for a medal but just goes all in - 360 back flip for the gold.
