….you touch on a very important word there; Service. The busses were a service back then, now it’s all about profitable routes.

Thankfully, by me, we have a couple of subsidised services (by Merseytravel) that run despite not being profitable. Locals, especially elderly, rely on them to get to the shops - especially supermarkets.
