I only went to the old one once or twice for some reason, possibly everywhere i used to go working up from the slaughter house, the pen, the old post office, the Empire and other places, plus assorted yates were all on the otherside of the road

LCC; between putting up absolute shiz - knocking down stuff, destroying communities, what were they thinking?

Might it have been cheaper - financially AND socially to bring existing houses up to spec ?
 
John Hamilton school under demolition. Ronnie Goodlass' name was probably still pinned on the notice boards - his was always the first name on the teams lists.

….loved that school.

i was in Assembly when he was called on stage to get his England Schoolboys cap. Ronnie was a few years above me but I did go and see him playing for England U15 at the Pitt.
