….there’s a blue plaque on the house where she lived very close to mine.
A soulless barn of a place, not a patch on the old one it replaced...and the beer was awful.

I only went to the old one once or twice for some reason, possibly everywhere i used to go working up from the slaughter house, the pen, the old post office, the Empire and other places, plus assorted yates were all on the otherside of the road

i was in Assembly when he was called on stage to get his England Schoolboys cap. Ronnie was a few years above me but I did go and see him playing for England U15 at the Pitt.
