Been back there plenty, even to play football but have always flown. I’ll never do that boat journey again.

Daughter lives over there so been plenty of time usually fly but have sailed over on the manannan a few time, usually in the summer time ( sailing over in July) 2hr 40mins crossing time, not had a rough crossing YET, it’s a nice crossing have a few pints and a bit to eat Very relaxing.

We went to IOM a few years ago, flew there and boat back. The journey back was eerie, foggy day, and not a ripple on the Irish Sea - have never seen a piece of water so flat.

….can get very choppy as I know from experience.

One time I flew there to play footy, it was bright and sunny when we left Speke but 20mins later thick fog going into land. Pilot had to abort twice but made it on his last attempt, there were no more flights that day.
