Lazy from me also. David Jones was our TH at that time. And of course I knew that Telfer wasn't a wing back or a fullback. I should have had a wee check. Thanks. Notice that they had Rioch down to play as well. As you say lazy and sloppy work from the Boro people.
Ps........our team looked good on paper back then. A good spine to the team. Just imo a few players short from being a very good team.

Sad day, just three days after Cup Winners Cup Final - think they were still knackered tbh. Moran (?) sent off, then Whiteside scored a worldy that I have never watched on the telly since!

That would never happen these days. Teams wouldn't be expected to play a European final abroad on a Wednesday night, and then a domestic cup final on the Saturday afternoon. Had the cup final been held back to a night game on the following Tuesday/Wednesday, we would have beat Manu.
Our players were physically and mentally shattered.
